Ghost Adventures at The Stanley Hotel tonight!

In it's 70 years of operation Wolfe Manor became the final resting place for thousands of people. The originals owners lost the home in the great depression. After sitting vacant for years, Wolfe Manor was turned into the Clovis Sanitarium. Former employees tell numerous stories about poor conditions,  mistreatment, and abuse of patients. 

Wolfe Manor housed 100-150 patients at a time until it was closed in 1997. Overcrowding was a constant problem, making it difficult for any patient to receive proper care. The rooms were so overcrowded that some patients slept in the hallways. With so many patients and a shortage of staff, there were a lot of deaths inside the mansion. Since there was no local coroner to come for the deceased the bodies had to be stored in the basement. They were sometimes there for days at a time. 

The spirits are Wolfe Manor are very "hands on." While researching some of the history behind the mansion Zak asks paranormal investigator Terry Campbell if he has ever been physically touched. "All the time. That is the most frequent thing that happens here," Terry responds. 

The guys hear voices and feel strange energy even before the lockdown begins. Wolfe Manor is sure to be a hair-raising investigation.

Ghost Adventures at Execution Rocks Tonight!

Execution Rocks is given its name because British soldiers used the rocks around the island to carry out executions. They would chain the prisoners up at low tide and wait for the water to slowly rise until the prisoners were drowned. The prisoners were in the water for up to twelve hours before the water rose high enough for them to drown.

It is standard for a lighthouse keeper to commit to living in a lighthouse for a year. However, lighthouse keepers at Execution Rocks were allowed to cancel their contracts and leave at any point. Many keepers were frightened by strange phenomena and choose to leave early.

One of Americas most notorious serial killers, Carl Panzram, was a big fan of the lighthouse. Carl Panzram once stated, "I have murdered 21 human beings. I have committed sodomy on at least 1000 male human beings. For all of these things, I am not in the least bit sorry." The lighthouse was his chosen place to dump the dead bodies of his victims.

With all of the dark history surrounding the island, is it a wonder that few paranormal investigators have payed visit to the lighthouse.

Ghost Adventures head back to Washoe Club this Friday

The guys head back to where it all began at the Washoe Club in Virginia City Nevada. They are re-visiting the location where they got their first documented video evidence of a ghost. The reason for their return is that several investigators have recently caught voices inside the Washoe Club calling out Zak and Nick by name. 

The voices don't have nice things to say. Fellow investigators Mark and Debbie Constantino show the guys some EVP's saying, "Nick Groff," "Hate Nick," and "Zak look out." It appears the these spirits have unfinished business with Zak, Nick, and Aaron. 

The guys will also be locked down in a location they did not visit during their previous investigation: The Chollar Mine. It is said that there are spirits of miners still stuck inside the mine. Countless men have died inside the mine thanks to fires, falls, electrocution. Once locked down, the guys hear the sounds of people working inside the mine.

As a child, I loved being scared by the paranormal. I tuned in for “In Search Of”, read The Amityville Horror and watched Poltergeist. Hell, I even remember the parapsychology episode of “Charles' Angels”. That shred of plausible truth was enough to attract and terrify me.

As it turns out, Grim Pickens was exactly the same kind of weird kid. In fact, we had many of the same paranormal-related books when we got together. Our list of dream occupations includes parapsychologist (and marine biologist - SyFy Saturday here we come!). When we began noticing ghost shows popping up on television, we were slowly drawn in; we wanted to believe. We wanted to be scared again.

While the rest of the country votes on “American Idol” or quotes “Seinfield” with biblical accuracy, we sit in the dark week-after-week growing more opinionated about reality shows about ghosts. We armchair quarterback spectral investigations we would never want to be part of. If we ask our 3-year-old, “It's Friday, what's on tonight?”, he will dutifully answer, “Goofy Ghosthunters!” We have caught him trying to plug headphones into the computer to play “Ghost Hunters”. We recognize we are not model parents, no need to send hate mail.

The following are our current favorite shows. Please know that all criticisms are given in that really irritating way of true fans (and send swag, we'll wear it!).
